create MarketPlace Title, LLC, they had a distinct vision for
the kind of company they wanted to build. They wanted to provide timely and professional service while ensuring a positive experience
each and every time. With several years of experience in the
real estate settlement services business behind them, they knew
the fundamental process necessary for a title company to function
successfully. Nonetheless, they envisioned more than ensuring
that settlement transactions are completed, they envisioned that
goal blended with an overall quality experience for their clients
from the moment a contract arrived in their office to the hand
shakes exchanged at the end of settlement. For them, it is about
exceeding the expectations of their clientele before, during
and after settlement. |

Elizabeth L. Jones, Esquire:
Ms. Jones brings to MarketPlace Title, LLC six years of legal
experience, four of which have been in the title insurance
and real estate services industry.
Born and raised in Baltimore, with a family involved in real
estate sales and investments since her early childhood, Ms.
Jones understands the real estate needs of her fellow Marylanders
and the nature of the real estate industry. It is no wonder
that in 2003, one year after receiving her Juris Doctorate
degree from the University of Baltimore School of Law, she
decided to focus her legal practice in the title insurance
field as a settlement attorney. Her primary focus was on title
examination, closing document review and conducting settlements.
Subsequently, she extended her body of work as manager for
a large Baltimore Metropolitan title insurance company. In
her capacity as a manager she expanded her knowledge base working
with her employees to learn the fundamentals of processing
and disbursing files, recordings and policy preparation all
done with the goal of becoming a more valuable real estate
settlement services professional to her clients.
Ms. Jones’s undergraduate studies include a Bachelor
of Arts from the University of North Carolina - Chapel Hill.
Returning to Baltimore after her studies at North Carolina,
Ms. Jones lived in Fells Point and Canton before purchasing
her first home in 2006 in the historic community of Clipper
Mill in Baltimore. She has enjoyed the journey of homeownership
so far and feels proud to be living in a revitalized Baltimore
neighborhood.
Renee Vick:
A native Baltimorean, Ms. Vick joins MarketPlace Title, LLC
with a positive and enthusiastic attitude about being part
of the home-buying process for those in the Baltimore Metro
area. Ms. Vick’s six year experience working in the
real estate settlement services industry has involved managing
files from the processing stages through to disbursement of
funds and beyond. Armed with an extensive banking background
of no less than 15 years she confidently tackles the difficult
funding issues that can be presented on a daily basis in this
business. She looks to extend her adeptness and has received
her Certification of Pre-Licensing from the Maryland Land Title
Association, the first part of the settlement officer licensure
process. Ms. Vick is a notary public as well. MarketPlace Title
looks forward to Ms. Vick becoming
an even more integral part of their team in the role as licensed
settlement officer in the near future.
